Gifts for everyone

Peak District Pin Badge

Sponsored by Adventure Pins

Adventure Pins is another family team so it’s great to buy from an independent business. The two brothers Chris and Dom create beautiful pin badges of the UK National Parks. I mean the Peak District is the best, of course, but they do have badges for the other National Parks too!

The brightly coloured pin badge of the Peak District captures the national park perfectly. It includes rolling hills, gritstone rocks and a finishing touch of millstones on the design. All these are iconic to the Peak District landscape, if you’ve not spotted any millstones yet take a look near Stanage Edge and Padley Gorge.

The brilliant thing about these pins is that for each one ÂŁ1 goes to the UK National Parks Foundation (charity no. 1182566).

Each enamel pin comes on a presentation card, with both a metal and rubber clasp so you can securely fit on either backpacks or clothes. Making a lovely gift for someone to put wherever suits them.

The pin badges are available direct from the Adventure Pins website. It’s FREE shipping for all the pin badges and you get an extra 20% off if you order 3 or more pins!

Peak District map set

If you have a friend or family member who is getting into walking this might be a brilliant gift for them. I’m a big fan of giving gifts that are useful and a Peak District map would be brilliant, plus maybe a compass to go with them! This Silva Expedition compass is the one I use.

The Peak District area has two maps that cover it, the Dark Peaks and White Peaks areas. You can buy the maps individually via Amazon – OL1 map or OL24 map. Or as a lovely gift, you could get the Peak District map set available via Ordnance Survey.

Park Designs

Park Designs is based in Hathersage and was originally set up as Peak Designs by owner Si Homfray. He combined his lifetime of experience in graphic design with his deep love of the outdoors to create a range of handmade and heartfelt art and design inspired by the country’s greatest beauty spots.

Si says; ‘The work is drawn from a lifetime of living in the Peak District, and a great personal love for, all the villages, the wild cragginess, the moorland, the natural beauty and the great open spaces.

The diverse idyll of the Peak District National Park has been over the last 30 plus years a place to exercise, a place to share, a place to breathe, a place to work and a place to rest. I hope you enjoy some of the work.’

The items are colourful, original and eye catching. You can find everything from wall art to stationary and clothing to homeware in the online store.
